Charles Edward Russell, historian and author, will be the guest speaker Thursday afternoon at the Temple Israel Meeting House, where Jews and Christians will mark the second anniversary of the burning by Nazis of thousands of books by world-renowned authors.

The Massachusetts State Department of Jewish War Veterans of the U. S. at its annual encampment here elected Louis P. Rosenberg of Lawrence, state department commander, succeeding Meyer Rubin of Worcester.
