Mrs. Leo Sulzberger was elected president of the New York section of the National Council of Jewish women at the annual meeting yesterday at the Temple Emanu-El Community House, 1 East Sixty-fifth street. She succeeds in office.
Mrs. Sulzberger, who is active in civic and welfare work here, is a daughter-in-law of Mrs. Cyrus Sulzberger, one of the founders of the New York section when it was established in 1894 and its second president.
Others elected at the meeting included: vice-presidents, Mrs. Henry S. Hendricks, Mrs. William de Young, Mrs. Nathan Straus and Mrs. Julius Wolff; recording secretary, Mrs. Paul Mazur, corresponding secretary, Miss Ethel H. Wise, and treasurer, Mrs. Ira Loe Bamberger.
Mrs. Kay, retiring president, spoke on “Ten Years of Change.”
