For two hours tomorrow, employes of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies will drop work as a protest against refusal of the board of trustees of Federation to grant them the right of collective bargaining.
Decision for a stoppage was taken at a meeting last week of 400 members of the Association of Federation Workers. Previously the association’s members had staged a demonstration on the occasion of the board of trustees’ meeting to allocate funds and make budget recommendations for 1935. The association demands a hearing on the question of salary scales.
