The third annual outdoor Maccabiah, sponsored by the local Jewish Communal Center, under the direction of Max Schneider, will be held Sunday morning and afternoon in celebration of the holiday of Lag B’Omer.
The Council of Jewish Juniors of Syracuse at its monthly meeting unanimously elected a new slate of officers presented by the nominating committee: Miss Hannah Greenberg will succeed Miss Rosalind Baker as president. Other new officers are: Miss Ruth Damsky, vice-president; Miss Pearl Kauffman, second vice-president; Miss Leah Wilkins, treasurer; Miss Jeanette Engel, recording secretary; Miss Eleanor Burdick, corresponding secretary.
