The contest conducted by the Grossinger Hotel close at midnight tonight (Sunday). The reports from the judges indicate that an interesting letter can be written in fifty words. No easier method of winning a week’s vacation has ever come to our attention. The contest is run for the readers of the Jewish Daily Bulletin exclusively. And those living outside of New York have a special prize offered them.
Gustave Eisner of the steamship agency of the same name is having a busy time booking passengers for various congresses. On June 29 the Ile de France will sail with almost 100 of his passengers. Twenty of these are going to the Yiddish Scientific Institute Congress in Wilno under the guidance of Nathan Feinerman, executive secretary. A party of teachers travelling to Russia and Palestine are also included in this group.
The second contingent to the Yiddish Scientific Institute Congress which will be held August 14 is leaving on the Normandie July 31, under the guidance of Mr. Eisner himself. In this party is Dr. Jacob Shatzky, honorary secretary of the Institute.
On July 20 a group of physicians are leaving for the physiological congress which is being held in Leningrad August 8 to 18.
And if these conresgses are not sufficient there is the Zionist Congress in Lucerne August 20 which is attracting a large number of passengers. Many of these have chosen to travel on the Normandie which will sail July 31.
