Jack Thomas Grein, dean of London dramatic critics and the first producer of Ibsen and Shaw plays in London, died here today at the age of 72.

Mr. Grein was at one time the British Consul in Liberia. He was also the director of the International Copyright Bureau.

Born in Amsterdam, Grein became naturalized in England in 1905. He was the founder of the German theatre in London and the publisher of the “Journal Musicale” in Paris.
