The number of Arabs who entered Palestine illegally is much larger than the number of Jews, it has been established by the Palestine government, according to a report made public here today.
The report deals especially with the illegal immigration of the Arabs from Hauran. It discloses that the Palestine government has organized a special police and detective force to check the illegal immigration of the Arabs. It also states that large masses of Arabs were forced to return to Hauran when their attempt to pass the Palestine border illegally was checked.
The report expresses the belief that illegal immigration into Palestine has been greatly reduced during the past year and will dwindle to small proportions in the coming year.
Zionist District No. 39 will hold its final meeting of the season tonight jointly with its Youth Group, at its headquarters in the Burnside Manor, 71 West Burnside Avenue. Prof. Louis Finkelstein of the Jewish Theological Seminary will speak on “Palestine in a Changing World.”
