The World Zionist Congress will end its nineteenth biennial session here on Friday or Saturday at the latest, it was announced today by Dr. Nahum Goldmann, member of the Congress praesidium.

In order to close the Congress by that time, the agenda has been modified to give the various factions and committees time to hold special meetings.

As a result of the change in the agenda, Dr. Chaim Weizmann, Congress president, Dr. Stephen S. Wise of New York, will not speak before Tuesday. They had been originally scheduled to make their speeches before the Congress today. Particular interest is attached to Dr. Wise’s address since he has announced that he will dwell at considerable length on the situation of the Jews in Germany.

For the first time at the Congress, the German delegation took the floor today when Dr. Kurt Blumenfeld and Michale Traub spoke. Dr. Blumenfeld demanded more self-criticism and neutralization of the Histadruth by granting equal treatment for all Palestine workers. He appealed for unity in the Zionist ranks and urged more attention be paid to propaganda throughout the world. Mr. Traub pleaded for an increase in national capital for colonization, citing the number of German Jews who have settled in Palestine during the last two years.
