The bodies of Baron Edmond de Rothschild and his wife will shortly be transferred to Palestine in accordance with their last will, it was announced last night by Senator Maurice de Rothschild, son of the noted Jewish philanthropist, at a memorial meeting.

Nahum Goldmann, member of the executive of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, thanking the family in behalf of the agency, declared that “Baron de Rothschild’s grave in Palestine will be a sacred place for generations.” His remark likening the baron to Dr. Theodor Herzl, founder of political Zionism, met with an ovation.

Former Cabinet Minister Paul Reynaud declared, “France’s traditional sympathy with Israel’s tragic destiny remains unaltered. Therefore she sympathizes with the efforts for creating a Jewish National home.”

Other speakers were Advocate Mirtil, president of the French Keren Kayemeth; Robert Bollak, member of the Jewish Agency and Rabbi Maurice Liber, director of the Rabbinical School.
