“Palestine is becoming the hub of Jewish scholarly life,” declared Dr. Michael Wilensky, Hebrew scholar formerly of Berlin, arriving here to catalogue the Hebrew Union College’s manuscript collection.

“America’s Jewish scholarly career,” he said, is still in the process of being formed, holding that America offers opportunity for great development.

Dr. Wilensky, who is known for his contributions to Hebrew grammar study, has for years conducted research in the great libraries of Europe. His works fill four huge volumes, two of which are still unpublished.
