Reichefuehrer Hitler’s Voelkischer Beobachter, chief organ of the Nazi Party, took up the cudgels today for Bruno Richard Hauptmann, demanding that his death sentence in the Lindbergh kidnaping and murder be commuted to life imprisonment. The newspaper also repeated insinuations that Isadore Fisch, Hauptmann’s late friend, was guilty of the crime.
