Violent anti-Jewish agitation conducted by an agency calling itself the Simpson News Service is perturbing Jewish circles and demands are being voiced that the propaganda be halted under the Indian Penal code, which makes it an offense to promote hatred between various groups.
The charge that the Jews finance Christian missionary societies as an entering wedge to “exploit” the Moslems is made by Dr. Khalid Sheldrake in a syndicated article sent out by the news service.
He declares that “the Jews are a race detested by Christians, and even today the spirit of tolerance toward the Jew is marked by contempt,” adding that the Jews are the “enemies of Islam.” Addressing himself to the Christians, he asks: “Is the land of Christ (Palestine) to be placed forever under the heel of the people who crucified him? Have they (Christians) forgotten the crucifixion?” He goes on to state that “Israel rules the world today by its capital and even Soviet Russia is not exempt from Jewish control.”
Commenting on the article, the Jewish Tribune states: “His propaganda would be welcomed in Nazi Germany, where fundamental rights are denied and where gangster rule prevails.”
