Police raided the offices of the Zischo, Jewish school organization, and arrested its vice-president, Nathan Buxbaum, a leader of the Radical Zionist Organization, left Poale Zion, in an intensified government drive against left-wing organizations that covered industrial centers of the country.

Buxbaum had been arrested with other Zischo officers in a raid a few months ago and was subsequently released.
