The Jewish Community decided today to lodge a protest against the decree of Dr. Arthur Karl Greiser, president of the Nazi-controlled Danzig Senate, banning kosher slaughtering.

The Danziger Echo, editor of which was arrested last week, today was suspended for ten months. Printed in German, it is the only Jewish newspaper published in Danzig and has frequently been suspended since the Nazis won control of the Senate. Two of its former editors have been deported.
