At least 25,000 Jewish school-children here will have to be fed by relief organizations during the coming winter months, it was established at a conference called by the Toz, Association for the Preservation of Health among Jews.
The conference expressed the hope that Jewish relief organizations in the United States and England will take into consideration the plight of the children of needy Jewish families in Poland and assign the funds to feed them in the school kitchens.
It is estimated that at least 325,000 zlotys will be required for this winter. Half of this sum will be covered by the local funds, while the other half, it is hoped, will come from Jewish relief organizations abroad.
