The League of Nations Assembly today appointed a subcommittee headed by Giuseppe Motta of Switzerland to bring in recommendations on the German refugee problem on the basis of which the Assembly will adopt permanent plans for dealing with Reich expatriates.

Sir Neill Malcolm of England, provisional High Commissioner for German Refugees, reported on the situation.

Simultaneously, a conference called by the Council for German Jewry, the body set up under the auspices of American and British Jews to aid expatriation from the Reich, held a session here.
