A verdict dismissing libel charges against an editor who called an army captain “traitor” for marrying a Jewess was interpreted by Nationalist newspapers today as permitting that description of Rumanian officers who intermarry.

The libel charges were instituted by Captain Ionscinu against Dr., Radelescu, editor of the extreme anti-Semitic paper, Porunca Vremi, after the editor had denounced him in print as a “traitor.” Although there is no Rumanian law forbidding intermarriage, a Bucharest court acquitted the editor.
