Representatives of Hungary’s ten Jewish communal districts expressed hope at a conference here yesterday that new statutes governing Jewish communities would be enacted soon.

The delegates voiced satisfaction that the Government was about to conclude examination of supplementary statutes, by which Hungarian Jewish leaders expect a renaissance of religious and cultural life.

The delegates were later received by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Public Worship and assured that the Government would show full understanding of the Jews’ religious needs.
