A new understanding of Judaism among students of religion was hailed by Dr. Julian Morgenstern, president of the Hebrew Union College, in one of a series of four lectures tracing the rise and decline of universalism in Judaism during the Biblical period.

He spoke at the Union Theological Seminary under the auspices of the Jeanette Miriam Goldberg Foundation of the Jewish Chautaqua Society.
