Dr. Aldo Lattes, acting chief rabbi of Rome and former director of the Jewish Elementary School of Rome, has been appointed chief rabbi of Tripoli, it was announced today. He succeeds Rabbi Castel-Bolognesi, who was ousted by Governor Italo Balbo two years ago.
