World Zionist Congress Set for August

The twentieth biennial World Zionist Congress will open the first week in August and conclude the following week, it was announced today by Isaac Gruenbaum, director of the organization department of the World Zionist Executive. (It was reported from Praha recently that Switzerland would again be the site of the Congress.)

The Council of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, will hold its meeting concurrently with the Congress, he declared.

A meeting of the Zionist General Council, directing Zionist body when the Congress is not in session, will convene on April 13 in Jerusalem, Mr. Gruenbaum informed a conference of central committees of all Polish Zionist groups.

Mr. Gruenbaum announced the Hebrew month of Nissan (March 13 to April 10) as the period for world-wide sale of “shekolim,” the certificates entitling Jews to vote in the elections for Congress delegates.
