Jewish children in a “ghetto school” of Berlin wanted to hold a masquerade festival. They applied for permission and were informed they could hold the fete.

Last night, as they assembled at the school in costumes, they were told the Gestapo, State Secret police, had banned the function at the last minute. No reason was given for the action.
