SOLLY WEISS, 29, HAS BEEN SENTENCED BY THE WUERZBURG CRIMINAL COURT TO IMPRISONMENT FOR FOUR YEARS AND THREE MONTHS AND FOUR YEARS’ ADDITIONAL LOSS OF CIVIL RIGHTS ON A “RACE DEFILEMENT” CHARGE.

THE COURT IMPOSED A PARTICULARLY HEAVY SENTENCE ON THE JEWISH YOUNG MAN BECAUSE OF EVIDENCE THAT HE HAD ATTEMPTED TO CONCEAL HIS RACE BY USING AN ASSUMED NAME, ATTENDING CHURCH AND READING DER STUERMER, GERMANY’S LEADING ANTI-SEMITIC PAPER.

ACCORDING TO THIS TESTIMONY, WEISS CONCEALED HIS JEWISH ORIGIN BOTH FROM HIS SWEETHEART AND HER PARENTS, CALLED HIMSELF EMIL WASSER, AND WENT TO CHURCH WITH THEM. IN HIS OWN BEHALF WEISS TESTIFIED THAT HE HAD INTENDED TO MARRY THE GIRL IN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.
