THE LEAGUE COUNCIL’S SUBCOMMITTEE TO EXAMINE THE MANDATES COMMISSION’S REPORT ON PALESTINE WILL BE COMPOSED OF VICTOR ANTONESCU OF RUMANIA, VILHELMS MUNTERS OF LATVIA AND RICHARD SANDLER OF SWEDEN, IT WAS LEARNED TODAY.

INFORMATION OF THE COMMITTEE’S COMPOSITION WAS OBTAINED FOLLOWING A CONFERENCE BETWEEN COL. JOSEF BECK, POLISH FOREIGN MINISTER, AND CAPTAIN ANTHONY EDEN, BRITISH FOREIGN SECRETARY.

CAPT. EDEN IS UNDERSTOOD TO HAVE INFORMED COL. BECK THAT HE WILL MAKE A STATEMENT TOMORROW CONTAINING NEW PROPOSALS IN CONNECTION WITH THE PLAN TO PARTITION THE HOLY LAND. IT IS LEARNED THE STATEMENT WILL INCLUDE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT’S READINESS TO AGREE TO FRONTIERS OTHER THAN THOSE PROPOSED BY THE ROYAL COMMISSION FOR THE PLANNED JEWISH AND ARAB STATES.
