AN AREA OF 4,000 DUNAMS (ABOUT 800 ACRES) BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF YAJUR AND MOUNT CARMEL HAS BEEN ACQUIRED BY THE PALESTINE LAND DEVELOPMENT COMPANY IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE NESHER CEMENT COMPANY, THE AFRICA-PALESTINE INVESTMENT COMPANY, LTD., AND A GROUP HEADED BY MOSHE SMILANSKY, JEWISH FARM LEADER. A QUARTER OF THE AREA HAS BEEN RESERVED FOR SETTLEMENT OF NESHER WORKERS AND THE REMAINING LAND WILL BE USED FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A RESIDENTIAL SUBURB.
