COLONIAL SECRETARY WILLIAM ORMSBY-GORE IN THE HOUSE OF COMMONS TODAY DEFENDED THE PALESTINE ADMINISTRATION FROM CHARGES BY WILLIAM GALLACHER, COMMUNIST M.P., THAT IT HAS EMBARKED UPON A “POLICY OF DESTRUCTION.” MR. GALLACHER BASED HIS CHARGES ON THE DYNAMITING OF ARAB HOMES IN REPRISAL FOR TERRORIST ACTIVITIES. REPLYING TO HIS DEMAND THAT THE DYNAMITING BE DISCONTINUED, MR. ORMSBY-GORE DECLARED THERE WAS “NO INTENTION OF ALTERING THE LAW.”
