ISIDOR GENNETT, NEW YORK JEWISH NEWSDEALER WHO UPSET NAZI OFFICIALDOM WHEN HE PLACED A WREATH ON THE GERMAN WAR MEMORIAL IN BERLIN TWO WEEKS AGO, HAS DEPOSITED A WREATH ON THE GRAVE OF THE UNKNOWN SOLDIER HERE. ANTI-JEWISH SLOGANS WERE SHOUTED BY A GROUP OF YOUNG MEN AS GENNETT PLACED THE WREATH, INSCRIBED “TO HOSPITABLE FRANCE,” ON BEHALF OF THE JEWISH MEMBERS OF THE AMERICAN LEGION. THE YOUTHS WERE SILENCED BY THE CROWD WATCHING THE CEREMONY.
