A resolution protesting anti-Semitic measures in Rumania was adopted last night at a public meeting, sponsored by the Federation of Jewish Societies in France. Speakers included Henri Jeurnut, Secretary-General of the League for Human Rights, who read a report of a League meeting in 1919 revealing that Octavian Goga, now Rumanian Premier, and the notorious anti-Semite Takionescu agreed that the Jews of Greater Rumania should possess full rights.
Marc Yarblum left for Geneva to present to the League of Nations, on behalf of the World Jewish Congress and the Federation, a petition against Rumania’s violation of minorities treaties.
Jewish holders of the highest French military distinction, the Medaille Militaire telegraphed King Carol, who is also a holder of the medal, reminding him of their common fight for civilization and justice which led to creation of a greater Rumania. The wire asks Carol to avert an “undeserved, unjust and cruel fate” for thousands of Jewish families.
