Fascist leader Johannes von Moltke today disbanded his Grey Shirt organization, one of three “shirt” outfits in South Africa, and urged his followers to join Dr. D.F. Malan’s nationalist Party. A second Grey Shirt group, headed by M. Weichardt, and the third “shirtist” band, the Black Shirt Party, are continuing their anti-Jewish activities.

Meanwhile, a new organization to combat Nazism and Fascism has been created in Johannesburg, to be known as the Council for the Defense of Democracy. Among its aims will be “eradicating racial hatred.”
