Hungarian Nazis distributed pamphlets today calling upon the Government to resign and advising Premier Koloman Daranyi to leave the country “before it is too late.” The pamphlets attacked Jewish land-owners and called for adoption of racial laws based on the German standard.
Meanwhile, a Government-appointed committee of thirteen, most of whom belong to the right extremist wing of the Government party, began a study of the Jewish question in Hungary. The committee includes M. Mecser, president of the Cultural Chamber, who is known as a friend of Nazi Germany, and Dr. Begvary, president of the anti-Semitic Turul Union. Moderate members include Dr. Paul Pesthy, former Justice Minister, chairman; Dr. Tasnady Nagy, former Education Minister and president of the National Unity Party, and Deputies Kuehne and Plosz.
