The church and civil authorities have temporarily banned marriages between “Aryans” and “full Jews” pending passage of relevant laws. In cases where one of the applicants for marriage is a foreigner, provision is made for a special appeal to Provincial Governor Arthur Seyss-Inquart. It is understood that the Austrian rabbinate is refusing to convert “Aryans” who desire to marry Jews.

After the ousting of Jews from the Artists’ Ring, the chorus of the Vienna State Opera was purged of Jews. In addition, eight Jewish musicians were dismissed from the Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra without pensions or severance pay.
