The Municipal Council of Miedzyrzec near Brezesc-Litewski has decided to rename I.L. Peretz, Sholem Asch and Adler Streets, which were named for famous Jews. Jewish members of the council walked out in protest against the action.
A conference of radical students associations in Wilno sent a resolution to the rector of Wilno University demanding a complete ban on admission of Jews to universities. The resolution said that the segregation of Jewish students in “ghetto benches” was only a preliminary step to exclusion.
