The Reichsvertretung der Juden in Deutschland, central Jewish representative body, issued a manifesto today urging Jewish communities throughout the country to observe on July 19 the 34th anniversary of the death of Dr. Theodor Herzl, founder of political Zionism, at a time “when we are expecting for Palestine a historic decision, and when the existence of the entire Jewish people in Central Europe is in question.”
