Jews have been virtually excluded from admission to universities, since Jewish students ending their secondary school courses are not admitted to labor camps, which, under a recent order, is a condition for admission to universities. Jewish Parliament deputies have taken up the matter with the central authorities.

Meanwhile, the authorities have agreed to transform the Wilno ORT Technicum into a technical lyceum, which means promotion to high school rank.
