Reich Forced to Stop Dictating to British Firms on Jewish Employes

After representations by the British Board of Trade, Germany has agreed to stop seeking to influence British firms which trade with the Reich to exclude Jews, it was disclosed today,

“In response to our representations, German representatives agreed to impress control boards that steps must be taken to avoid interference with the United Kingdom’s trade and must cease to require information about the constitution of United Kingdom forms,” declared Oliver Stanley, president of the board’s of trade, in reply to Major H.A. Proctor, Conservative M.P., who had called the board’s attention to the fact that the Nazi Government was seeking to obtain exclusion of Jews from British firms dealing with the Reich.
