Henri Bernstein, the playwright, today telegraphed Premier Benito Mussolini advising that he was returning to him the decoration, Order of Maurice and Lazare, because “I do not consider it any longer as an honor to wear it since you persecute so many reproachless Italian citizens in the name of racialism.”
