The Millions Club, pro-immigration organization of businessmen, heard its plan for mass settlement of Jews in Western Australia and Melville Island branded as fantastic. Addressing the club, Dr. Norman Bentwich, Professor of International Relations at the Hebrew University, and honorary director of the Council for German Jewry, pointed out that the areas suggested were without roads and markets needed for such development.
