Mrs. Rose Jacobs, only woman member of the Jerusalem Executive of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, sailed for London today on the Queen Mary. She will remain in London indefinitely, as long as she feels the present Palestine situation requires her presence there, and then proceed to Palestine for a stay of undecided length.

In an interview before sailing, Mrs. Jacobs stressed the necessity for increased participation of American Jews in the Zionist governing bodies. She said she had been urging creation of an American bureau of the Jewish Agency’s political department. “Our whole destiny hangs on America,” she said.

Mrs. Jacobs said she would convey to Agency officials in London the sentiment of American Jewry against curtailment of the Jewish homeland, as evidenced in the mass protest movement of the past two weeks.
