Alma Gluck, retired singer of the Metropolitan Opera Company and one of the first American-trained artists to gain recognition on the opera and concert stage, died today at the age of 54. She was the wife of Efrem Zimbalist, the violinist. Born Reba Fierson in Bucharest, she was brought to New York at the age of four.
