The Juedische Rundschau, organ of the German Zionist Federation, today appealed to the United States Government to combine its German immigration quotas for several years in order to reduce the waiting time of applicants for American visas.

The Zionist weekly stressed “the inexplicable and intolerable discrepancy” between German Jewry’s pressing need for emigration and the inactivity of the Intergovernmental Refugee Bureau, headed by George Rublee, of Washington. Providing of new possibilities for living and working for the German Jews remains the main problem of Central European Jewry, the paper asserted.
