City Council Bars “l” Scrap Steel from Nazis

The city council agreed unanimously today, upon suggestion of councilman Abner C. Surpless, republican, that the responsible city authorities make sure that scrap iron salvaged from the abandoned Sixth Avenue “L” line does not get into the hands of any of the dictator nations to be turned into munitions.
