Terming the Schacht proposals to link Jewish emigration to increased German imports the “most cynical ever advanced” in connection with the Nazi persecutions, Laborite leader Herbert Morrison today told an East London meeting: “I hope that Schacht has been sent about his business and that it has been clearly intimated to him that any such proposals are not only cynical but impudent and offensive.”
