The British Government was reported today to have approved the plan for emigration of Jews from Germany as outlined this week to the Intergovernmental Refugee Committee.

Home Secretary Sir Samuel Hoare told the House of Commons today that the Government has made special arrangements for granting of visas to refugees desiring to enter England on their way to Canada and the United States. Replying to a question by Thomas Edmund Harvey, Independent, Sir Samuel said: “I am most anxious that no difficulties shall be placed in the way of granting transit visas to refugees to whom admission to some overseas countries is available. Special arrangements have already been introduced by the Home Office, in cooperation with the voluntary organization, for the immediate grant of visas in such cases.”
