Health Committee Formed in Shanghai for 12,000 Refugees There

Need of an organized health service for the approximately 12,000 refugees in Shanghai has prompted formation of a European Emigrants Associated Hospital Committee. The refugee population here is expected to increase to 20,000 by the end of the year. The committee’s honorary secretary, J.M. Alkow, will leave for the United States to raise funds.
