The Daily Express today complimented Colonial Undersecretary Lord Dufferin and Ava as a “true friend of the Jews” for his warning in the House of Lords that a considerable increase in Jewish immigration to England would provoke anti-Semitism.

“Organizations striving to flood Britain with Jewish refugees should listen to this warning and act upon it,” the Express said. “For there is real anxiety lest the tradition of tolerance and kindliness in Britain should suffer in consequence of an influx from the continent.”
