President Laredo Bru today promised a delegation representing democratic groups early release of 57 German Jewish refugees held in the immigration can for more than two months and slated for deportation to Germany. The delegation was headed Dr. Juan Marinello, president of the Union Revolucionaria. The president’s action was immediately assailed in anti-Semitic radio broadcasts which demanded deportation of the refugees.
