The picture of a smiling Englishman who allegedly “took refuge in the Reich with his family to avoid the Jewish terror in Great Britain” was featured today on the first page of Der Angriff, Nazi organ here.

Der Angriff reported that the “refugee,” named H.M.W. Wicks, had brought proofs of a scandal involving Leslie Hore-Belisha, British War Secretary, and Dr. Edward Leslie Burgin, Minister of Supply. He also announced that the other Britons, were preparing to flee here. “rejoicing,” according to Der Angriff, “in the protection of the Reich.” The newspaper added that Wicks plans to use his liberty in Germany to explain Judaism and the “Jewish terror” to the English people, who allegedly are deprived of their freedom of opinion.

The Angriff campaign appeared to be a rejoinder to letters which Stephen King-Hall, famous British publicist, has circulated through the Reich calling on German citizens not to support aggression. King-Hall’s campaign infuriated the National Socialist press.
