A multi-power plan for large-scale resettlement of Jewish refugees, involving the cooperation of Germany and the progressive internationalization of African colonies, was put forward today by Sir Arnold Wilson, anti-Zionist Conservative M.R., in a letter published by the New Statesman and Nation.
Sir Arnold suggested that the British Government sponsor the plan as part of a policy embracing three offers to Germany in the event the latter was prepared to abandon force as a means of attaining her ends.
The offers, Sir Arnold said, should be directed toward a solution of Germany’s three main problems, namely, Jewish problem, “Lebensraum” and inferiority complex. He suggested that the declaration of policy, offering solution of Germany’s and Italy’s economic positions and progressive internationalization of African colonies, should contain as its first point the announcement that Britain is prepared in collaboration with Germany and other powers to initiate and to sponsor a scheme of Jewish settlement on a large scale, beginning with British Guiana. “
