The Jewish Merchants Union today turned over to the Polish Army an anti-aircraft gun, three anti tank guns, three machine guns and one tank. High Government officials and representatives of the Polish Army were present at the ceremony.

Ex-Senator Raphael Szereszewski, prominent Jewish banker, in turning over the gift, pointed out the readiness of Polish Jews to sacrifice their lives in defense of Poland. Accepting the equipment in the name of the Army, Col. Jurasz said that “the loyal action of the Jewish merchants in Warsaw proves the readiness of our population to resist every action directed against us.”
