One Jew was killed and five were wounded today in two Arab attacks. Gershon Rugozinsky, 25 of Poland, was fatally injured when the water truck of the Negba colony hit a land mine. Abraham shek, Dov Lampert and David Kuritzky were seriously wounded.

Arab gunmen fired at an automobile in Haifa, seriously wounding Rachel Holzman, 24, and slightly injuring Joshua Shapiro, 32.

A congregation of elderly Jews narrowly escaped casualties last night when two bombs were thrown into the synagogue of a home for aged Jews bordering on the Arab village of Lifta. The bombing occurred shortly after evening prayers. The building was not damaged, although both bombs exploded.

The Official Gazette has published and order-in-council declaring that alien women do not attain Palestine citizenship automatically by marrying Palestine citizens. The High Commissioner, however, is empowered to grant citizenship in such cases. Palestine women, on the other hand, do not lose their citizenship by marrying aliens.
